Computer Upgrade: Chimera Mk II.
Ok, here's my current general specs for my newly upgraded comp, I used older information but as of now, aside from an unusually long load time, it runs like quicksilver after the startup...
ABIT KN8 nForce Ultra Mother Board PCI-e capable with 3.0G/S SATA powa
Alienware 400W PSU (no idea why but I can't find ANY PSU with this many connections, and the way I run with like a kajillion fans, I need MORE PSU connectors as I can possibly find!)
2x512 M Corsair ValueRAM
120 Gig Western Digital HD
Scythe BAT Heatsink [I love this thing, though it's a Big ITCH to install]
eVGA GeForce 6800 GS [damn, as good as the ratings say, though I'd like to have a 7XXX in around say, X-Mas time if the cards go for less than $220]
AMD Athlon 64 2.2 GHz OC'd to 2.64 GHz [trying to go higher, need more time to test]
current system------------------------------^^^
For now, I have a wish list consisting of:
Cheapest DUAL-Core CPU I saw on Newegg was $285. Damnit, I could have waited one week to have bought this beast.
GeForce 7xxx [suggestions?]
New PSU [ideas?]
More RAM [note, I DO NOT want to blast $$$ for this]
320G SATA 3G/s HDD [ah, sexy speed/space]
New Case [Aluminum, MUST BE ALUMINUM and below $100]
Think of it this way, you're handed $1000 for these parts and your priority lies in CPU and GeForce, what would you do with it? Think, BUDGET...

or x1800xt512mb
PSU=OCZ powerstream 520 watt, or other various powersupplies mentioned in other threads, look up Koneko's thread.
RAM= eBay you 1gb of corsair RAM. or something, as value ram doesn't cut it. Pull 2gb, 150$.
HD= Split it up into 2 160gb sata. RAID 0 Goodness heh.
New case- Something from Thermaltake if you want it cheap, and still retain quality.

Well, the GFX card and PSU you mentioned are too high priced for what I've got, however, my current card and PSU seem fine and not noisy really, but your other ideas hit me like this...
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145491
HD: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822136003
Case: I'M IN LOVE => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133133
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819103562
Remember, BUDGET!!! I can't afford more than $200 on somethings and NO MORE than $300 on the cpu itself... I'm keeping my old heatsink though, LOVE BAT...
